The workshop will be held on January 19th, at Pitchblue Creative in Wirksworth. Its a dedicated art space with everything we need, including parking! (FYI There are a few steps up to the studio) There will be tea, coffee and biscuits on tap and a lovely lunch provided.
We’ll begin with coffee and my 45 minute ‘alla prima’ demonstration, which I will talk you through. You will then work on this painting for the morning until lunch, provided by the amazing Caroline and Roz at Pitchblue ! In the afternoon you will be able to choose from my selection of landscape/seascape images, or bring your own to work on. Be aware that you will be taking wet paintings home, so remember the newspaper!
I teach throughout the workshop – through my demonstrations and one to one. My aim is that you learn and enjoy, and head off encouraged and enabled at the end of the day. It will be an opportunity to focus, challenge yourself and learn new techniques, regardless of what stage of painting you feel you are at.
Painting is my passion in life, and teaching it is an absolute joy. Look forward to meeting you!
Medium filbert, medium flat and a small rigger brush

My constant palette for everything is as follows – if you have similar colours, they will do fine:

Good sized palette (at least A4)
A low odour solvent such as Zest it or sansodor.
Liquin or similar to give the paint more flow.
