Welcome to week 5 of my 12-week online painting course – available from 18/4/2020.
This week we look at big, airy skies over some lush Peak District moorland – and it is ALL about texture and application of paint.
Tonally the clouds are much lighter than the land – but their texture is also very different: loose, flat, big brush, subtle colour changes. Keeping this in mind in your brushwork makes a huge difference to the atmosphere and movement of your painting.
