Welcome to module 5 of my online oil painting course.
This week we look at sparkly seas – that beautiful sunlight dancing on the waves, subtly different from the white of foam and highlights elsewhere. Again, its about starting thin and staying thin! When you watch the video, you will see how think the vibrant colours are before they’re layered over with opaque tones – they really are very wishy washy!
As ever, it is about layering light, and staying in control of your palette.
